SS-INTROSPECT #16 : HONORABLE CHARGE
Honor….. a word taken lightly by most. A term thrown around but ageless. As a child you hope to make the honor roll. As a man some spend a full career hoping for an honorable discharge. Movies , Raps, Television flirt with the term "death before dishonor". But for the everyday person what does he or she honor? The better question is what do they take "pride" in honoring? What responsibilities do they honor without fear of judgment? Without fear of failure or loss? Without the positive or negative reinforcement of the people around them? What things do they act on and are proud of in private, regardless of their image in public?
One gift to always treat with honor is your body. Another is your mind. Taking charge of both and making sure they are "fit" for accomplishing the task you desire. That is the definition of "fitness". The quality of being suitable to fulfill a certain task or role. How can we fulfill that task without fear? How can we be suitable without holding ourselves in great esteem? Treating our minds and bodies with great respect is key. Treating our being with honor , as we pour into ourselves daily. We will start to believe we are fit for the task we fantasize about. If we have always fantasized about being a man that can build a house with our bare hands. We will set to the task mentally and physically. Fitting our minds with the understanding of framing and drywalling. Fitting our bodies with the strength to dig, carry, and lift what is necessary . If we always fantasized about being a woman sipping fresh wine in a beautiful garden . We will fit our minds with the understanding of raising seeds of grapes to bear fruit. We will fit our bodies to carry soil and take on heat in months of harvest. The man doing dumbbell farmer walks indoors all to mimic carrying lumber outdoors. The woman holding a squat pose indoors all to mimic long periods of weed pulling and seed planting outdoors. All to be fit to accomplish their desired task.
Now the ability to take charge steps in. The ability to take charge is more of aligning completely and honoring the task you envision. This gives you leeway to make mistakes. This gives you an opportunity to lose or fall but remain focused. To continue to take action without external validation. You validate yourself now by the respect you have for yourself. You feel appreciation for this self and give thanks to god for giving you this mind & body with unlimited capabilities. No longer do you walk in weakness and look for others to smile and grin with, who are also weak. No longer do you lack the ability to take charge of your own life or need to follow the assignment of another. You are now fit to take control of your own life and carry out your own assignments based purely on your faith in self. God has given you unlimited fuel to stay aligned with the earth and see your assignments come to tangible form. No facades or viral moments to dictate when you are allowed to have endless joy. You are allowed now to have private and priceless moments that when they are shared, the value is already set by you.
So take charge of your life with honor. See to it that it is aligned with an honest look at the best version of yourself. Make it fit not for a worldly definition with limitations but an earthly definition with freedom in its motion. Fit it for the way you design the best version of yourself. The version you would have hand crafted if god stood before you and said "Tell me what would bring you peace.". Today is a great day for you to have the courage and take charge of your life.
“You're not yesterdays failures or tomorrows opportunities. You are present progression, in your own form of genuine creativity.”
