SS-INTROSPECT #17 : FALLING FORWARD.
Neglect can be taken in so many forms. The primary two being Direct and Indirect. Direct leaving a bad taste on our spiritual pallet. A flavor called “regret”. Regret is a sour and pungent flavor. One that no matter how you scratch the roof of your mouth. You can't seem to shake it. I guess that’s the indirect part. Settling in and lingering, constantly holding thoughts of “What if” over your head. The husband thinks “What if” I would have come straight home. Could I still have something beautiful and sustainable in my life? The wife thinks “What if" I did that thing he likes. “What if “ I would have kept that opinion to myself. Would I have to do this by myself? Could I be held ever so firmly on these cold winter nights? Even in the gym there are daily “What IFs”. When we check our performance or calculate our growth. We think “What IF” I did one more set? “What IF” I stuck to my diet ? Would my shoulders be more broad? Would my waist be more trim? The problem with “What IF” dwell in poor communication. It leaves our mind stuck in the past. A constant replay of past failures. A broken vase scattered about the floor of life. Never to hold your well deserved flowers again or display their beauty. We could drop to our knees scrambling desperately, trying to pick up the pieces. But I'm yet to see anyone make it what it once was. Truth be told that experience has expired. Though a loss was taken, it has evolved into something else. Something filled with new opportunities to form something just as beautiful. But how do we see these new opportunities? How do we remember to not dwell over the vase and focus on the flowers? Don’t they still need a home and nourishment?
We must move forward. Forward in every aspect of ourselves. We must see our evolution not only for the losses and sacrifices, but also for the freedom it has brung. We must communicate with ourselves in a manner that's moving forward. Consuming as much motivating media and entertainment as possible. Constantly building up our health and wellbeing. Eating the right foods to fuel the willpower of our mind , body, and spirit. Mindfulness is key in forward thinking. Thoughts will enter our mind that have no association with our current evolution. They are attached to “What if”, attached to what he or she USE to fill their cup with. Catch these moments and burn them out of your mind. Give them no energy. Your forward motion depends on it.
Your external environment may have to change as well. Your comfort-zones, friends , and relationships with family members may all need to alter. Triggers have been attached to these things that are aligned with the old you and have zero to do with your evolution. Conversations with friends that once brought comfort now have a slight twist of resentment. A slight twist of hate. Separation from these empty vessels and environments may be necessary. You have to place yourself around people and things you can draw strength from. Surround yourself with people who have real power and find no use in symbols. Take a risk on yourself and put it all on the table. Regret has no home in the man or woman who is all in.
As we move forward and leave “What if” in the past. We also leave “What was” behind us. We peek into our purpose constantly and evolve with calculation. Others may not always understand but they will witness our moments of pure joy. We no longer look to our friends for positive reinforcement. We look to ourselves and God for clarity and accomplishment. So take your body forward and manifest its best version. Find daily opportunities to displace the evolution of this manifestation. Take your mind forward and turn your visions into tangible form. You will create things you once saw as unimaginable. Take your spirit forward and connect deeply with your purpose. If anyone tries point a finger or judge what you have done you won’t even notice. You will be too busy moving……FORWARD.
“As we move forward and leave “What if” in the past. We also leave “What was” behind us. We peek into our purpose constantly and evolve with calculation.”
