SS~ FRAMEWORK PHYSIQUE #2 : Seasonal Joy or Eternal Longevity…That is the Question
“I LIKE MY WAFFLES SMOTHERED, COVERED, AND SCATTERED!” exclaimed Keith.
“Mama! Bottomless mimosas does sound good.” said Sydney.
”Can we stop for donuts and triple chocolate lattes?” questioned Mary.
-PPL’S CONVERSATION
We are so detailed about what we like. Even if it’s not the healthiest choice, we like what we like. But how come we have minimal detail in how we move. I might dare to say if it’s not financially motivated most of our movements are completely groundless. No real rhyme or reason to our personal time , downtime , aka responsibility free-time; its just “scrolled” and “watched” away. We work hard, some of us 40-60 hours a week. When you accompany that with parenting and being a decent partner there might not be much will power left. So how do we sustain consistency while evolving?
Well, experts would say engaging in a minimum of 150 mins. a week of training will decrease stress and raise wellness. Double that time will increase will power and lower coronary heart disease by 25%. Then why is it that 60% of adults don’t exercise enough and 25% of adults don’t train at all? Easy! We haven’t been detailed with our movement. We haven’t shifted our focus. Instead, we allow it to roam groundlessly. Take a journey and try something different. Ask your love to positively reinforce your new habits. Ask your loving husband to count out all 80 squats. Require your beautiful wife to rub your shoulders after those overhead press. We are only as good as the people we keep around us.
Fitness is completely subjective to your walk of life. We have to structure the people and activities in that walk for long-term results. A foundation built on short term gratification will lead to seasonal and shallow moments of joy. Instead, place your focus in corrective actions that seem small with major results. It takes a village but it starts with you.
1.Stay present and hold yourself accountable.
(Am I Scrolling or Squatting? )
2. Lean into loves ones for habit reinforcement.
(If you love me help me!)
3.Simplicity and consistency.
(Everyday is a step forward.)
